HVSM recently held a Safety Day, bringing together our team for a day of learning, demonstrations, and practical safety awareness.
The day featured several valuable presentations and demonstrations, including:
- Mark Neilan – The Importance of Good Practice in Heat-Shrink Cable Terminations: Highlighting the importance of correct procedures, attention to detail and high standards of workmanship to ensure safe and reliable installations.
- David Cooke – Arc Flash Awareness: Raising awareness of the dangers associated with arc flash incidents, the importance of understanding the risks and the necessary precautions to help protect workers.
- Craig Fox , Fox Engineering – Fire Stick Safety: Provided an informative session on fire stick safety, demonstrating the importance of safe handling and correct use of equipment.
- Brian Ferris- Rescue Hook Demonstration - A practical demonstration highlighting the importance of rescue hooks in emergency situations and how they can be used to help safely rescue individuals from electrical hazards.
- EHS Team – Health & safety awareness – The EHS team delivered a comprehensive review of the health & safety topics covered throughout the year , reinforcing key safety messages , lessons learned and best practices to support a strong safety culture across the business.
The day provided a valuable opportunity for our team to refresh their knowledge, gain practical insights, and reinforce the importance of safe working practices.
